Please let the record state that this atrociously CUT SCENE from Season 3's Christmas episode, as just exclusively released by Ryan Murphy, will forever be a part of any and all Kurt's canon in every single one of his verses. The scene could not fit my Klaine headcanon more, so suck you Glee writers for cutting it, but I'm KEEPING IT.

30. Haze

It felt like a haze settled around Kurt in the wake of his rejection to NYADA. After the initial shock that he hadn’t made it to the place he had his heart set on, he was lost on what to do next. He felt too tired and flat to think about a Plan B and he tried to resolve himself to the fact he would be stuck in Lima forever and a day.

He was annoyed at himself for getting his heart set on one thing, but at the end of the day, he was merely human like everyone else.

26. Slide

With Slide by Everclear playing softly in the background, Kurt realised how poignant the lyrics were as he peeled the coloured post-it notes off all his things. For now, he was staying in Lima and he didn’t know what the next life step was. He was crushed when he got rejected by NYADA, and it had made it hard to think straight lately.

He just wanted someone to give him a fair go so he could prove himself, but what was your next choice supposed to be when it felt like no matter how hard you shouted, no one listened?

19. Sundress

"That sundress looks like what would be spawned if the tracksuit brigade at the local bingo club had an affair with Mrs Doubtfire's table cloth in the cheap underwear section of Walmart," Kurt spat out at Rachel bitchily, arms clamping across his chest with a distasteful crinkle of his nose.

He watched in smug satisfaction as she floundered, offended, but before she could even respond, he spun on his heal and stalked away from her. Maybe he was a little bitter after everything, but even that was no excuse for him to remain in the presence of atrocious fashion sense.

15. Raft

Ever since Kurt got rejected for NYADA, he had been having weird dreams of being trapped in isolated places with no way out. The latest was a strange recreation of Castaway, where he was hairy, stuck on a raft and having in-depth conversations with a ball with Blaine’s stuck to it. He knew he it had to be a subconscious feeling of lack of control with his future, and who could blame him?

But rolling over and finding a sleepy Blaine’s arms at the ready for a comforting cuddle every single time, the bad dreams never seemed as scary then.

13. Tan

It was the proverbial elephant in the room that Blaine was trying to dance around when he exploded in frustration to Kurt about having tan hands after the disaster week that was the Whitney tribute and Kurt’s flirtations with another guy. As soon as he realised the whole thing had been nothing but an avalanche of miscommunication stemming from Blaine’s heartbreak at losing Kurt to New York, Kurt felt terrible.

He sat there, looking into his boyfriend’s big tearful eyes filled with lost pain, and he knew then that no matter what happened, he would fight to keep Blaine forever.

12. Jump

Singing, running around dressed only in pyjamas, dancing and jumping on beds, appearing in a TV advertisement for mattresses. It was one of many, many memories that Kurt was going to take from McKinley High and Lima with him when he packed up to move to New York in the fall to start the next chapter of his life.

He knew his Midwest home town had given him a lot of memories, and not always good, but it was the ones with New Directions and Glee Club that he would probably always cherish above and beyond just about everything else.

3. Doggie paddle

Kurt couldn’t believe that the entire Glee Club was reduced to taking part in synchronised swimming for the benefit of Mr Shue’s OTT marriage proposal. For one, the uniforms left much to be desired, and secondly, it was a sheer miracle he didn’t drown.

It was a sheer miracle he could even manage anything more strategic than doggie paddle through the pool when he saw his boyfriend wet and down to cute little synchronised swimming shorts for the occasion. It took some forceful inner monologue to stop him pouncing on Blaine for a little poolside synchronised activity of their own...
