Demons

Kurt had his own McKinley demons to return to, but he was one of the lucky ones that they had only made him stronger. He didn’t fear returning to his old school. It didn’t dredge up those feelings of uselessness, inadequacy. It brought back memories, not all good, but they were part of what made him who he was today.

He (miraculously) found a moment of reflective solitude in the choir room, thinking deeply as he stood there looking at Finn’s plaque. Were they really demons, or were they just emotional stepping-stones to a life he never anticipated back then?

Meggings. Oh, my god I'm breaking out into a secondary unfabulous rash. This is almost as bad as Quinn's taste in men.

Ever had your closest friends completely annihilate each other in front of you and manage to spontaneously combust your little friendship network whilst you're stuck in the middle and all you really want is a double box of Krispy Kreme and everyone to shut up? I'm trying to plan a freaking wedding. I need zen.

Kurt would say he loved all of New York if anyone asked. It wasn’t really true. There were parts of it that terrified or disgusted him. Walmart would fall into the latter category. He may have become even more of a fashionista with the City brushing off on him... and working at Vogue.com. That spoke for itself.

But if he had to pick a favourite place, it would always be standing out the front of Tiffany’s eating a bagel and maybe pretending he was in the movie. And he couldn’t wait to bring Blaine here to share it with him.

Brother

I don’t think I’m ever going to get used to Finn being gone. You can get used to the fact he’s not here, but gone... it’s a whole other story. I find myself thinking about him a couple of times a day. I think about how far we came from where we were when we first met. I think about what an amazing person he turned into.

He was my hero. I miss him. It’s like the world’s heart misses a beat every so often now my brother’s gone. And the hardest part of all is, he’s not coming back.

It had been a hell of a few weeks, and Kurt couldn't exactly pinpoint what it was that brought him to sitting alone on a stool at the karaoke bar in the Upper East Side. He had a Cosmo sitting in front of him, but it was untouched at this point. He should have just gone and ordered the Arnold Palmer like he had contemplated because he was baulking at the idea of actually getting drunk like he wanted to. He was usually the DD and it had been awhile since he got epically drunk. He didn't like to lose control... or worse, let people see him losing control.

He picked up the cocktail for a delicate sip and visibly cringed when the latest person at the karaoke mic kicked off with a stomach-turning rendition of Hey Jude. Holy hell, they were murdering it. Why was he here? And why didn't he just get up to the mic himself? Being alone was crap, but he had thought it would give him time to think. There wasn't even anyone hot here to perve on right now, though he was sure if he was into girls, it would be a smorgasbord with how much cleavage was currently on show. New York, New York... sometimes not all it cracked up to be.
